Friday, February 28: Marc Ford And the Neptunes Blues Club/Damngivers/FunkyJenn/Black Tongued Bells

Marc Ford is an American singer-songwriter and blues-rock guitarist. With the heavy blues sounds of Marc Ford & The Neptune Blues Club, Marc lets his blues guitar run wild with the accomplished line-up of musicians that usually include:  John Bazz (the Blasters), Mike Malone (Joe Houston), Stephen Hodges (Tom Waits), Antoine Arvizu (National People’s Gang), and Bill Barrett. The NBC bring it and burn down any club they perform at with their juke joint rumble. A former lead guitarist of the rock and roll jam band The Black Crowes and the leader of his own bands (Burning Tree, Marc Ford & The Neptune Blues Club, Jefferson Steelflex, Fuzz Machine, Marc Ford & The Sinners), Marc has seen the world and come to see the light. His sensitive lyrics are infused with hope, devotion, soul and weariness. Having travelled a long road, the former side-man steps forward on his own material with an evolving voice that grows stronger and lyrically more poignant with each release.

In a joint effort between front-persons Lara Hope and Matt “The Knife” Goldpaugh, Lara strums the guitar while Matt slaps the Upright Bass or picks the 5 String Banjo.
