Monday, November 18th:Hunnypot Radio Live! (FREE SHOW)

We’re starting the week off with another chance to dip into this months Hunnypot -that is HUNNYPOT RADIO! With live performances by Seattle, WA Rock/Hip-Hop/Funk band  Eclectic Approach, Jewish Folk/Pop Musician Mikey Pauker from Laguna Beach, LA’s Irish Rock & Roll band Black Shamrocks & LA’s Rap/Hip-Hop artist Bjay McFly! The evening will also feature a guest DJ set by Chelsea Schwartz, John Anderson & Boom Shack! So come out and Shake off your Monday Blues with Hunnypot Dance Party-FO’ FREE!

Tuesday, November 19th: Lindi Ortega/Brett Detar + Cavity Comedy (Back Room)

American Singer & Songwriter Lindi Ortega will step up to The Mint stage on Tuesday, November 19th with her foot -stomping, country -dusted sugar and sass, this lovely young country lady could be the lovechild of Johnny Cash & Nancy Sinatra with the way she sings & writes songs! Lindi Ortega will be offering up a hell of a honky-tonk time for a Tuesday night in celebration of her new full-length album Tin Star released by Last Gang Entertainment! Brett Detar (The Juliana Theory, Zao) will be kicking off the evening  for us with his thoughtful and authentic sounds. We will also be celebrating the record release of his newest album To Free to Live!

Wednesday, November 20th: Tom Freund (Record Release), Chris Joyner & Lacey Cowden

Wednesday night we will be making our way over the weekly hump by celebrating the release of Tom Freunds newest album off his personal label Surf Road Records! Freunds has a way of finding something for everyone, including “hearftelt folk to buoyant pop to boho jazz to straightforward rock ’n’ roll, and beyond…” Freund will be joined by the sophisticated & eclectic piano stylist Chris Joyner & the lovely Lacey Cowden!

Thursday, November 21: Polyrhythmics, An Endless Sporadic & Shauna Brittenham

The 8-piece afro/world-beat/funk orchestra Polyrhythmics will be weaving one of their clever webs of ‘deep, hypnotic grooves and creative, yet melodic interplay with clever horn-hooks, and searing solos’ at The Mint on Thursday, November 21. Polyrhythmics came up fast and strong on the Funk music scene-having been named the best band in Seattle in 2011 by Seattle Magazine & signing with In The Pocket Artists Inc. shortly after! An Endless Sporadic is a collaboration that started in the middle of the country and continued across it-with Zach moving to LA and Andy to Boston after they met at their Texas High School. Several of their songs have been featured in Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland and their song “Impulse” was featured as a bonus song in Guitar Hero 3. Opening the evening will be the kindergarten teaching music mogul Shauna Brittenham-who molds both young minds and fresh music!

Friday, November 22: Caleb Quaye and the Faculty, Jay Stolar & Erland

Harry Nillson, Beach Boys, Joan Baez, Al Kooper, David Foster, John Klemmer, Eddie Henderson, Dusty Springfield, Liza Minnelli, Brenda Russell, Joan Baez, Ralph McTell, Pete Townsend, The Troggs, Hall & Oates. Charles Williams are just a few artists Caleb Quaye has been in studio sessions with. Has performed or recorded with such artists as Philip Bailey, Andrae Crouch, Billy Davis and Marilyn McCoo, Stephanie Mills, Deniece Williams, The Midniters, Ry Cooder and Los Lobos and Billy Preston, Sly Stone, Jimmy Smith, Rufus, Chaka Kahn, Bob Dylan, T-Bone Burnett are a few albums he has recorded with. Oh-and did I mention that he was Elton John’s original lead guitarist?

As if Caleb Quaye isn’t enough to quench your thirst, We will also have a second show featuring Jay Stolar to wet your whistle as well! Stolar is said to be ‘like Daryl Hall, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, and Jack White rolled into one’-and if you think that isn’t possible than I challenge you to come and see for yourself! Opening up for Quaye will be Erland -reciting their Guthrie mantras before stepping on stage and full of fine folk rock for us. do yourself a favor and take the train ride tonight-it is one that is undoubtedly bound for glory!

Saturday, November 23rd: The Lyrical Groove, Mimi Zulu, Parlee & Oh Mercy

Saturday night is always all right for music at The Mint and this Saturday night we have just the line-up of Jazz, Soul, Blues, Hip-Hop, Funk & Spoken Word artists! The Lyrical Groove will be headlining the evening with their cleverly crafted & soulful sounds that are sure to get you in the groove. Mimi Zulu will take the stage second to last with her strong psychedelic blues vibe backed by deep bass and funky beats. Parlee and Oh Mercy will be setting the scene and opening the show!

Sunday, November 24th: madDog’s Block Party Fish Fry

Come out and end your weekend right with madDog’s Block Party Fish Fry- a real down home fish fry complete with cornbread and of courselive performances from artists who have performed with the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dog and Beyonce!
