We have another killer week of live music ready for you this week at The Mint!

Monday: Garland Jeffreys

Come spend An Evening With Garland Jeffreys tonight, November 11th at The Mint! As The King Of In Between, Jeffreys has been labeled as The Sound of New York, an edgy urban poet who explores the lines between rock, race and rebellion with his confessional singing and songwriting. His album The King of In Between was co-produced by Grammy- Winning producer Levon Helm and Larry Campbell. Jeffreys is truly an artist of solid roots strongly reflected in his intelligently passionate sound that is informed by various styles of music including R & B, rock, reggae and dance.

Tuesday: Hollowbody Presents: Love Like Suicide, Bixby, Jakey Lee & Taylor Carroll!

As one of LA’s hardest working booking and promoting companies, Hollowbody proudly presents Love Like Suicide-a band formed via social media on account of their mutual appreciation for the band Garbage by Molly K Gifford of Los Angeles, Califonria and Dominique Finnegan of West Midlands, England. The two will be performing Tuesday, November 11th at The Mint along with Bixby, Jakey Lee and Taylor Carroll.

Wednesday: Mike Viola, Jason Loughlin & Brand New Day!

The Prolific Mike Viola will be performing live at The Mint on Wednesday, November 13th along with Jason Loughlin and Brand New Day. As one of LA’s musical Jack of all trades-as a Singer, Songwriter, Producer and Recording Artist, Viola has contributed music for films such as Get Him To the Greek, That Thing you Do and Walk Hard as well as written and produced music for artists such as Mandy Moore & Fallout Boy. Described by Downbeat Magazine as “an instrumentalist of great range, taste and joy”-Jason Loughlin will also be at the Mint on Wednesday, along with Brand New Day opening the evening!

Thursday: TriBeCaStan

TriBecaStan’s sound has been described by The New York times as “genre-bending jazz and world-music” and hailed as  “an international jazz and folk festival unto itself, fusing Balkan, Middle Eastern, Indian, Latin American, and African musical elements to bold and dazzling effect” by The Washington Post…and according to The Village Voice, their sound embodies “New York cool, explorer energy, and outer space vibes”.  TriBeCaStan is as diverse in sound as they are legitimate it talent-and you wont want to miss them!

Friday: Marc Ford, Mike Malone, The Walcotts, Damngivers & an early show with Ivan Harshman

We will be starting Friday night, November 15th with an early show featuring Ivan Harshman-a Phoenix based singer-songwriter who has opened for names such as The Zombies, Charlie Musselwhite, Gin Blossoms and Gavin DeGraw.

If you make it out for the early show-you might want to stick around, former guitarist of The Black Crowes Marc Ford will be performing his bluesy rock sounds with his hopefully devoted lyrics infused with the weariness of the soul. Ford will be supported by several stellar acts including  one of Long Beaches finest bluesman Mike Malone as well as the Walcotts and Damngivers! This show is certain to be something special for the music lovers soul-we definitely don’t recommend missing it! We will have a Ticket giveaway for this gig on our Facebook, so keep your eyes out!

Saturday: Soul Scratch, Flavia and the Red, Raquel Rodriguez, Beat Mosaic plus an All Ages VIP MEET AND GREET with Hollywood Ending!

Saturday, November 16th will be starting out with Hollywood Ending. Select tickets holders will be provided the opportunity to Meet and Greet the band! ALL AGES welcome!

Sunday: The Mintern Presents SMOOTA, Nedelle Torrisi & The Monk!

Sunday, November 17th will be yet another night to remember with several jazz influenced musicians including SMOOTA, a singer and trombone player whose sensual steamy songs and provocative style will be sure to get you grooving! Nedelle Torrisi is heavily rooted in the jazz tradition having grown up studying classical violin and studying Jazz & World Music history at San Francisco State University! Opening up the evening will be The Monk, a band that officially began their musical journey together after a successful Loud N’ Clear session at Syracuse University!
